Try putting the hard drive in an external case, then hook it up to another PC. This has worked for me many times, and with external drive enclosures costing $20, it's worth it.

I will look into this at the computer sotre Thanks :)

If you burn a linux live CD, such as ubuntu, you can save your files. Just saying.

I might try that :)

my son died

Oh I am sorry :(

How are you posting this then?
Can you seen into the future?

At my girlfriends house :P

may he re-set in peace

What's with the computers dying this year? It just happens too often! D=

I blame this on bill!!!

remove the main disc man and get it on a other pc

I shall try this aswell.

Hey, You don't know me but this has happened to me twice. The first time I was able to fix it. THe second time happened a few weeks ago. I'm just to lazy to do all that crap again lol. so i just got a laptop.

go here. www.PChelpforum.com and sign up. and give them a very detailed description of what happened. its what i did and they helped me fix it

i remember they sent me a file that fixes the problem. its the hard drive not talking to your computer. they sent me a file that fixed it. i had to put it on a floppy disk. set the bio's to check the disk drive before the hard drive. so it installed that. Then. you can reformate the drive. as i remember there is no other way to fix this other then a reformate or a new drive. and you can probably put the file on a CD if you don't have a floppy drive.

good luck. hope this helps.

Hey, this happened to me when I first got my laptop a year ago...I ended up getting a new HD. It happens man, I suggest you getting an external HD. I got a 750GB one for 130 bucks. Maybe you should look into that, it's a great way to back up everythinhg you have. I have FL, and other stuff on there, inlucing all of my production software, music, pictures, etc.

If you're too cheap, then burn CDs or DVDS. It's a temporary way of backing things up that don't go away or screw up...unless you get scratches. lol

That's why the external HD is the best route to take.
